EXO's member Kai, who had abruptly suspended activities due to his military service replacement, has been confirmed to participate in filming for a new music video, promising to somewhat alleviate the disappointment of fans who have been eagerly anticipating the eight-member 'complete' comeback.

According to Star News on the 9th, Kai participated in the filming of a music video for a track in EXO's seventh regular album. Prior to starting his supplementary military service on the 11th of last month, he finished the shooting early with the other EXO members. As a result, fans can enjoy the new song stage adorned with the eight 'complete' members through a music video. Kai also participated in the recording of the seventh album.

At the beginning of this year, celebrating their 11th anniversary since debut, EXO had announced a 'complete' comeback. Having experienced long periods of 'military hiatus' due to continuous military enlistments of members, EXO has been preparing a robust regular album in anticipation of returning to the fans after a long time. EXO's regular album is their first in about 3 years and 8 months since 'OBSESSION', their sixth regular album released in November 2019.

In preparation for the 'complete' comeback, EXO not only recorded the title track of the seventh regular album but also filmed a music video for a track. Although Kai sadly could not participate in the title track music video filming held on the 2nd, he is scheduled to meet fans through his voice in the new album and the track's music video.

Meanwhile, EXO is resuming activities with their seventh regular album on July 10. Although the comeback seemed to be halted due to sudden notification of exclusive contract termination by members Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen (collectively, ChenBaekXi) to their agency SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM), both SM and EXO are determined to proceed with the activities as scheduled. ChenBaekXi also accompanied the filming of an EXO reality program on the 8th.

An official from SM told Star News, "Since we've been preparing hard, the album-related promotions will proceed as planned, and the detailed schedule will be released soon."
