K-pop group LE SSERAFIM has secured its first Platinum certification in the streaming category from the Japan Record Association.

As announced by the Japan Record Association on the 27th, LE SSERAFIM, comprised of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazaha, and Hong Eunchae, has earned Platinum certification for their mini 2nd album's title track 'ANTIFRAGILE,' surpassing 100 million streams as of May.

'ANTIFRAGILE' had previously received the association's Gold certification for exceeding 50 million streams as of January this year. This testifies to the song's explosive popularity, as an additional 50 million streams were added in just four months.

The accomplishment is particularly significant as it comes ahead of LE SSERAFIM's Japanese comeback. The group is slated to release their 2nd single, 'UNFORGIVEN,' in Japan on August 23. The new album will feature three tracks, including 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers),' which was released in Korea last May, a Japanese version of 'ANTIFRAGILE,' which achieved 100 million streams, and a new song in collaboration with a popular artist. There is a keen interest in whether the songs reborn in Japanese will follow the original's successful trajectory.

Meanwhile, 'Eve, Psyche, and Bluebeard's Wife,' a track from LE SSERAFIM's first full album, is steadily climbing the domestic music charts in South Korea. The song ranked third, fourth, and fourth on the latest weekly charts of Bugs, Melon, and Genie (for the period of June 19-25), respectively, demonstrating the group's lasting popularity. On Melon and Genie, the track climbed two positions compared to the previous week. LE SSERAFIM is scheduled to perform this track on Nippon TV's 'THE MUSIC DAY' on July 1.
