South Korean girl group ITZY has successfully concluded their first world tour with a final concert in Bangkok, Thailand, wrapping up an eight-month journey.

On April 8, ITZY held a spectacular concert at the Thunder Dome in Bangkok. The event marked the group's first solo performance in the city in over three years and four months since their December 2019 debut overseas showcase tour, "ITZY PREMIERE SHOWCASE TOUR 'ITZY? ITZY!'". Tickets for the concert sold out quickly, adding special meaning to the finale of their first world tour, "ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 'CHECKMATE'."

A day before the performance, ITZY held a press conference expressing their feelings about reaching the final destination of their first world tour. Leader Yeji and youngest member Yuna said, "If we had to describe our first world tour in one word, it would be memories. These precious memories will give us strength and last a long time." Lia mentioned it was a "chance for personal growth," while Chaeryeong called it a "significant time showing how much ITZY has grown through our performances." Ryujin expressed her affection, saying, "We communicated and interacted with MIDZY (fandom name) from all over the world beyond language barriers. We will miss all the MIDZY who welcomed us."

ITZY performed hit songs such as "Mafia in the Morning," "ICY," "Dalla Dalla," "WANNABE," "SNEAKERS," "Cheshire," "LOCO," and "Not Shy." They also showcased their stage mastery by performing highly anticipated B-side tracks and captivating solo stages.

During the concert, a surprise video made by local fans was revealed, conveying their love for ITZY and their eagerness for the concert in Thailand. The slogan event, which featured the sweet phrase "We'll meet again. MIDZY, we'll wait for you," added to the emotional atmosphere.

After the memorable concert, ITZY held a live broadcast on their official YouTube channel to share their thoughts on the finale of their first world tour. They expressed their gratitude to MIDZY from all over the world who enjoyed the tour with them and promised to return soon.

ITZY began their first world tour in August last year at the Seoul Olympic Park SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium. They sold out all seats for their concerts in eight US cities and achieved sold-out performances in seven Asian regions. Throughout the tour, ITZY actively communicated with fans through live broadcasts and shared behind-the-scenes content in their "IT'z TOUR BOOK."

With the successful conclusion of their first world tour, ITZY is expected to further expand their global popularity and influence. They are set to continue their performance streak as headliners at the "Head In The Clouds New York" music festival on May 20th in New York, USA.
