The Boyz has confirmed to make a comeback in August. On June 21st, KST, the boy group's agency Cre.Ker Entertainment, stated that The Boyz is preparing for a comeback in August with their 6th mini album.

For this summer comeback, it will serve as their first in 11 months as they took part in Mnet's television programs. It has been 11 months since The Boyz's previous EP, 'Chase.' It became the group's bestselling EP so far, and all its track made it onto all the major local charts.

As part of their appearance on Mnet's television program 'Kingdom: Legendary Way,' the boy band released the single 'Kingdom Come.' It became their first to top the real-time chart of South Korean streaming service Genie.

The track has also become their highest-ranking song on the Gaon Digital Chart as well as The Billboard K-pop Hot 109, at number 37 and 7, respectively.

The Boyz's 'Checkmate' reached No. 90 and 'The Stealer' hit No. 86. They also released their first Japanese studio album 'Breaking Dawn' in March which debuted at fourth position on the Oricon Albums Chart.

The music media are considering the boy group as one of the fastest-rising and most exciting groups. The Boyz first participated in Mnet's Road to Kingdom from April to June 2020.

The show is a prequel to Kingdom, where seven boy groups would compete to get a spot on the main show. The Boyz won the Road to Kingdom against Pentagon, Oneus, ONF, Golden Child, Verivery, and TO1.

After that, the boy group participated in Kingdom from April 2021 to June 2021, where they competed with Stray Kids, SF9, BtOB, iKON, and ATEEZ.

The Boyz was formed by Cre.Ker Entertainment and currently consists of 11 members, Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric.

The group debuted on December 6, 2017, and is originally a 12-piece group, but former member Hwall officially left the group in October 2019 due to health reasons.
