BTS has already collaborated with several artists from the West. In the past, they worked with Halsey, Lauv, Nicki Minaj, and The Chainsmokers.

While there are no new updates yet for their next joint music project, there are talks recently that a member of the group will collaborate with Taylor Swift. AllKpop reported that the speculations seemingly emerged following the polls from Billboard.

Earlier in March, Billboard released a running poll, asking the public to vote which artist should work with the Lover artist. Some of the names included are Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, and even BLACKPINK.

Weeks after the start of the voting, the results show that Swifties and ARMYs want to see Taylor Swift and Jin of BTS working together. He has since obtained over 35 percent of the votes, placing him in the lead.

The anticipation among the fandoms is no longer a new thing, though. As it happens, many people have been urging the two artists to collaborate, especially after the folklore artist met the septet three years ago.

Reports, also, pointed out that Jin is a "big fanboy of Taylor Swift." This is common knowledge among fans and supporters, considering that he has always been vocal about his love for the singer. Moreover, he, also, continues to add Swift's tracks to his public playlists, which the artist herself previously credited.

While BTS and Taylor Swift have yet to break their silence about their plans for the future of their careers, many individuals remain hopeful. However, it appears that not everyone agrees with the concept of a collaboration between Jin or BTS as a unit and the evermore artist.

In Quora, several netizens shared their thoughts about the matter, with the majority inclining that a joint project between the two acts is unlikely to happen. Many of them believe that the artists have different styles in music, adding that Swift is "of a different ilk" than the K-Pop idols, including Jin.

Despite this, though, BTS and Taylor Swift are friends in the industry. RM once even shared that the "You Need To Calm Down" singer is a "friend of BTS."

Cheat Sheet recalled that the celebrities met at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. They all posed for a photo, which Swift shared in her Instagram Story. She even captioned it with "BTS 4EVER," seemingly insinuating that she is a fan of the group.

She, also, previously revealed her "love" for the K-Pop idols in a post on her own Tumblr site. After a fan posted a screenshot of BTS' public playlists, which house a few tracks from her own album, she reblogged the material and commented that she loves them "so much." (Business Times)
