BTS's V has clinched the top spots in both the World and Album charts for the first week of September on Hanteo Chart.

Hanteo, a real-time music chart, announced its weekly chart for the first week of September 2023 at 10 a.m. on the 11th. According to the announcement, V, who recently released 'Layover', secured the number one position in both the World and Album charts.

The World Chart is a comprehensive chart by Hanteo that aggregates and announces global data of K-pop artists based on album sales, music streams, certifications, SNS, and media.

V's World Index scored 16,667.63 points, nearly achieving a perfect score in the album category of the World Chart. Following V, IVE ranked second with a World Index of 10,732 points, while Lim Young Woong took the third spot with a World Index of 10,648.05 points.

In addition to topping the Weekly World Chart, V also reigned supreme in the Weekly Album Chart.

For the week tallied from the 4th to the 10th, 'Layover' recorded an Album Index of 2,043,971.20 points (with sales of 1,701,981 copies). Upon its release, 'Layover' surpassed the record set by fellow BTS member Jimin, setting a new all-time high for initial sales by a solo artist.

The second place in the Weekly Album Chart was taken by Rize's 'Get A Guitar', which recorded an Album Index of 1,016,849 points (with sales of 1,016,849 copies). Boy Next Door's 'WHY..' secured the third position with an Album Index of 522,151.38 points (with sales of 449,218 copies).

The tallying period for Hanteo's first week of September weekly chart was from the 4th to the 10th. The World Chart is based on global data of K-pop artists, while the Album Chart rankings are based on the global album sales, represented by the Album Index.
