BTS's Jungkook has made a historic achievement with his single "Seven," becoming the first song in 2023 to top the U.S. Billboard charts for seven consecutive weeks.

Released on July 14th, Jungkook's solo single "Seven" clinched the No.1 spot on both Billboard's 'Global 200' and 'Global Excluding U.S.' charts for the week of September 9th, marking its seventh consecutive week at the top.

The World Music Awards (WMA), often referred to as the "European Billboard," highlighted that "Jungkook's 'Seven' is the first song of 2023 to debut and maintain its No.1 position for seven consecutive weeks on both the 'Global 200' and 'Global Excluding U.S.' charts." The song has set a new record, dominating this year's Billboard charts for the longest duration.

Furthermore, "Seven" surpassed American pop star Miley Cyrus's "Flowers," which held the No.1 spot for six consecutive weeks in 2023, setting a new record for seven straight weeks at the top.

Jungkook also achieved the unprecedented record of being the first Asian artist to simultaneously top both 'Global 200' and 'Global Excluding U.S.' charts for a record-breaking seven consecutive weeks. "Seven" was also crowned as the 'Global Song of the Summer for 2023,' based on its performance on the 'Global 200' chart.

"Seven" debuted at No.1 on Billboard's main singles chart, the 'Hot 100,' and as of September 9th, it climbed the ranks to 28th position, marking its seventh consecutive week on the chart.

In related news, Jungkook recently received the honor of being named 'Artist of the Summer' for the second consecutive year by 'Audacy,' one of the largest radio broadcasting networks in the U.S.
