The group FIFTY FIFTY is attempting mediation in their dispute with their agency, Attrakt.

On the afternoon of August 9, KST, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Agreement Division 50 (presided over by Senior Judge Park Beom-seok) will conduct mediation for the injunction lawsuit filed by all FIFTY FIFTY members against their agency, Attract, to suspend the effects of their exclusive contracts.

The mediation session will be held privately today. Mediation is a procedure to resolve lawsuits through mutual understanding between the parties involved.

Mediation is initiated when it is deemed appropriate for the plaintiff and defendant to resolve their dispute through an agreement. If mediation is successful, it has the same effect as a final judgment.

If no agreement is reached, the court can issue a decision as a substitute for mediation. If either party does not accept the decision, the trial can be reopened.

In the initial trial held last May, the members cited the incompetence and breach of contract by the agency. In response, Attract claimed there was "a very significant misunderstanding or intentional distortion regarding the transaction structure" and pleaded that they couldn't even contact the members due to external forces.

Furthermore, Attract pointed to the outsourcing company, The Givers, represented by An Seong-il, as the behind-the-scenes force.

Eyes are on whether FIFTY FIFTY members will successfully conclude their mediation with Attract and return to the company or whether both parties will continue with a prolonged trial.
