Amidst a severe heatwave, BTS's Suga has made a grand gesture for fans and staff at his upcoming solo concert. In a considerate move, given that the concert is taking place in the blistering mid-summer with temperatures soaring up to 35 degrees Celsius, Suga's team has rented an indoor venue to serve as a waiting area, showcasing his consideration for both fans and the crew working on the concert.

Suga from BTS is set to hold the 'Agust D TOUR 'D-DAY' THE FINAL' performances from the 4th to the 6th of August at the KSPO DOME in Seoul's Songpa District.

With heatwave warnings in effect nationwide and temperatures reaching around 35 degrees Celsius, concerns about the heat are mounting. The Korean Meteorological Administration forecasts temperatures from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius during the concert period.

Amid ongoing heatwave alerts, the government is recommending limiting outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day. The intense heat is undoubtedly a major concern for performers, fans, and staff alike.

Especially for popular idols like BTS, there are measures in place to ensure that ticket holders are indeed the original buyers, in an effort to limit ticket scalping. The process of identity verification before entry is particularly strict given BTS's global popularity.

To counteract reselling and illegal transfers of tickets, Big Hit Entertainment is vigilant about checking IDs. If a fan cannot confirm their identity, they are not allowed entrance. The process is thorough and includes checking identification, ticket reservation records, and fan club membership.

This rigorous process naturally extends the waiting times for fans. Usually, identification checks are conducted under tents set up in open outdoor areas during fan meetings or concerts.

Furthermore, due to the large number of fans converging in a limited space, fans often have to wait for hours before gaining admission. The extended waiting times are equally draining for the on-site staff.

While it might be bearable to wait for a concert under cooler spring or autumn weather, it's certainly a challenge during the current heatwave. There have been countless cases of fans fainting while waiting under the scorching sun for concerts.

Just when concerns among fans and staff were mounting due to the need to stand in line regardless, Suga's team decided to rent the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium, located right next to the KSPO DOME, where the concert is being held, to use it as a check-in booth, in a move being described as a major 'flex'.

The public praised this decision to take into consideration the wellbeing of fans and staff who would otherwise have to stand under the hot sun, with comments like "This is a true flex", "I was worried about how we'd have to stand in the hot weather, this is a relief", and "This is a lifesaver for not only the fans but also the staff".

Some, however, argue, "Considering the ticket prices for the concert, this should be a given." Suga's solo concert tickets range from 165,000 won for general seating to 220,000 won for VIP standing and designated seats. Comparatively, the tickets for other concerts held by different artists are priced similarly.

In the face of a heatwave and considering not just the value of the concert tickets, but also the wellbeing of fans and staff, it's easy to see why Suga's thoughtful move is earning high praise from fans.
