BTS member Jin continues to showcase his powerful global presence by extending his record-breaking streak on the Hungarian charts.

Jin's debut solo single 'The Astronaut' re-entered at No. 27 on the 'Single Top 40 Chart' in Hungary for the 19th week of 2023 (May 5th to May 11th).

With a total of 21 weeks on the chart, Jin has set the longest-running record for an Asian solo artist, outpacing his own previous record. 'The Astronaut' has also set a new record as the third-longest-charting track by an Asian artist, surpassing BTS's 'Dynamite', the group Jin is a part of.

Upon release, 'The Astronaut' skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Hungarian charts and held its position for four consecutive weeks, setting a record as the first and longest-running No. 1 by an Asian solo artist. Furthermore, it set another record by staying at No. 1 for a total of five weeks. As a member of BTS, which holds the record for the longest No. 1 overall in Asia, Jin has solidified his reputation as an artist who has topped the Hungarian charts both as a soloist and as a group member.

Jin showcased his robust global popularity by setting a monumental record of continuous chart presence from the 49th week of 2022 to the 14th week of 2023, a total of 18 weeks, marking the longest-running chart presence for an Asian solo artist.

In the 27th week of 2020, Jin hit No. 1 on Hungary's 'Single Top 40' chart with his solo song 'Moon', marking his first No. 1 track included in a BTS album and the second No. 1 for a K-pop solo artist. Jin has charted a total of six songs on the Hungarian singles chart, including 'The Astronaut', 'Moon', as well as his solo tracks 'Yours', 'Super Tuna', 'Abyss', and 'Tonight'.

Despite a hiatus due to military service, Jin continues to set impressive records on global charts, showcasing his prowess as a top solo artist.
