BTS' Jimin shot to stardom this May, securing first place in the boy band individual brand reputation rankings, solidifying his popularity.

On May 20, the Korea Corporate Reputation Institute released their analysis results of big data for the month of May 2023. In the boy band individual brand reputation rankings, Jimin secured the first place, with BTS' V and Wanna One's Kang Daniel following in the second and third places, respectively.

Jimin's brand, which earned the top spot in the boy band individual brand reputation rankings, was analyzed with a participation index of 681,390, media index of 945,667, communication index of 1,991,452, and a community index of 1,816,002, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,434,511.

The Director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Institute, Koo Chang-hwan, analyzed Jimin's brand, stating, "In the link analysis of Jimin, who recorded the top spot in the May 2023 boy band individual brand reputation rankings, 'participate, reveal, record' were highly scored. In keyword analysis, 'like crazy, OST, army' were highly scored. In the positivity-negativity ratio analysis, the positivity ratio was analyzed at 86.77%."

For the analysis of the boy band individual brand reputation big data, the Korea Corporate Reputation Institute extracted and analyzed 96,893,498 big data of 703 individual boy band brands from April 20, 2023, to May 20, 2023. Compared to the 101,087,440 pieces of big data in the previous month, there was a decrease of 4.15%.

The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand big data analysis, which finds that consumers' online habits greatly influence brand consumption. Through the analysis of the boy band individual brand reputation, it is possible to measure the positive and negative evaluations of individual boy band brands, media interest, and the amount of interest and communication from consumers. The analysis of the boy band individual brand reputation also included qualitative analysis of the brand reputation monitor and the brand value analysis that measures brand influence. The recommendation index was included as a weight in the brand reputation analysis.

The top 30 rankings for May 2023's boy band individual brand reputation were as follows: BTS' Jimin, BTS' V, Wanna One's Kang Daniel, EXO's Baekhyun, BTS' Jungkook, Big Bang's G-Dragon, BTS' Suga, ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo, Seventeen's Mingyu, BTS' RM, and so on, respectively analyzed.

BTS' V, who ranked second, had a brand reputation index of 3,620,208, which showed a decrease of 5.97% when compared to the previous month's brand reputation index of 3,850,206.

Kang Daniel of Wanna One, who ranked third, had a brand reputation index of 3,010,114, which showed a decrease of 25.96% when compared to the previous month's brand reputation index of 4,065,621.

EXO's Baekhyun, who ranked fourth, had a brand reputation index of 2,484,239, which showed an increase of 21.11% when compared to the previous month's brand reputation index of 2,051,244.

In fifth place, BTS' Jungkook's brand was analyzed with a participation index of 321,618, a media index of 305,109, a communication index of 918,954, and a community index of 841,651, resulting in a brand reputation index of 2,387,331. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,109,872 in the previous month (April), it showed an increase of 13.15%.
