In June, various corners of Seoul will be dyed in 'purple'.

Global group BTS will celebrate their 10th debut anniversary next month by setting up event spaces around Seoul and welcoming fans from around the world. The color purple, which symbolizes BTS, has been a topic of discussion in 2019, when major Seoul landmarks such as Dongho Bridge, Seoul City Hall New Office, Lotte World Tower, and N Seoul Tower were illuminated in purple.

According to music sources on May 18, HYBE, BTS's management company, and the city of Seoul are preparing various events around June 13th, the day of their debut. Discussions are currently underway about the specific locations of these events.

This year, the city plans to create 'ARMY Road' (named after BTS's fan club 'ARMY') at Hangang Park in Yeouido, Seoul, in addition to purple landscape lighting.

Every year, to commemorate their debut date, BTS has hosted various online and offline events under the title of 'BTS FESTA' to celebrate with their fans for a certain period. Even during periods when large-scale events could not be held due to the spread of infectious diseases, they still managed to meet their global 'ARMY' through online fan meetings, which will likely draw even more attention this year.

Especially this year, as it is their 10th debut anniversary and some of the members are currently serving in the military, it is known that they are preparing special events. Moreover, now that the World Health Organization (WHO) has decided to lift the international public health emergency for COVID-19, it is expected that fans from overseas will also come to Seoul to enjoy various events.

Furthermore, a commemorative book and stamps will be released for the 10th anniversary. The Postal Service of the Ministry of Science and ICT will issue 1.5 million sets of 10 commemorative stamps capturing 10 years of activities on the anniversary date. A commemorative stamp packet containing BTS portraits will also be released.

The memoir 'Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record of BTS', which contains BTS's 10-year journey in their own words, will be simultaneously published in South Korea and the United States in July.
