BTS member Suga has mentioned pop singer Bruno Mars as his role model.

In an interview with Apple Music on the 8th (local time), Suga highlighted the music that has helped him grow as a musician.

He said Bruno Mars' songs hold a special place in his heart, adding, "I remember listening to his songs a lot during my trainee days." He continued, "I love 'Talking to the Moon' from his album the most. I highly recommend giving it a listen. It's really good. I don't recommend bad songs."

As a global star, Suga had the opportunity to meet Bruno Mars in person. Last April, RM shared a photo on his social network service featuring Suga, Jimin, Bruno Mars, and Anderson .Paak together.

In a previous interview, Suga also named Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto as one of his favorite musicians. He showcased a collaboration with Ryuichi Sakamoto on the track 'Snooze' from his solo album 'D-DAY,' released last month. 'Snooze' became one of Ryuichi Sakamoto's posthumous works after he passed away on March 28th.

Suga expressed his sorrow at Ryuichi Sakamoto's passing, saying, "It was an honor to have the opportunity to work with him. My heart aches at the tragic news." He added, "I want to convey my respect and gratitude by recommending his songs 'Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence,' 'Opus,' and 'Railroad Man' that I love."

Meanwhile, Suga is currently meeting fans worldwide through his solo tour. He is scheduled to continue his North American tour in Inglewood, California on the 10th, 11th, and 14th, and in Oakland on the 16th and 17th.
