Just a few days ago, a rumor about "Boys Planet" winner Zhang Hao was spreading on social media. However, the person who originally posted the rumor has now admitted to fabricating the entire story during a live broadcast.

According to a netizen who learned the truth, the exposer had shared a photo of Zhang Hao from a college group gathering (including students from neighboring schools) on Twitter, which was manipulated to appear as if only the two of them were present. The person later revealed during the live broadcast that the gathering actually included Zhang Hao, college friends, two female friends, and seniors from their school.

The netizen said the exposer confessed that they had held a grudge against Zhang Hao after borrowing money from him during college and almost being reported to the police for not repaying the debt. They admitted to spreading false rumors about Zhang Hao to provoke a reaction.

During the live broadcast, they clarified that the rumors about Zhang Hao were false and added, "I just wanted to become famous." They confirmed that any claims about Zhang Hao's personal life and sexual relationships were untrue.

The exposer first met Zhang Hao in October 2020 when they went out drinking with college friends, two female friends, school seniors, and the exposer, according to an unnamed netizen who revealed the detail online. Zhang Hao had lent the person approximately 115,000 KRW through a Chinese payment app called Jinshuka, which is similar to WeChat Pay or Alipay. The originator complained about the Korean community misconstruing the situation as something related to prostitution.

They had only met Zhang Hao twice, and after the group drinking session, they never met again, the post revealed. Zhang Hao eventually threatened to call the police about the unpaid debt, which led to the originator harboring resentment and spreading false rumors on Twitter and during the live broadcast. The originator emphasized that there was no sexual contact or relationship between them and Zhang Hao.

The exposer and Zhang Hao had only met twice, and after the debt incident, they completely severed contact. He admitted to harboring ill feelings towards Zhang Hao and wanting to gain attention. They blamed the Korean community for spreading false rumors even though they were the ones who fabricated the story.

The exposer shared this information during a live broadcast on Douyin on the 24th and repeated the same story during a broadcast on Spaces on the 25th. Fans are relieved that the rumors have been debunked and hope that those who continue to spread false information about Zhang Hao will be held accountable.

It should be noted that The Kpop Reporter could not independently verify these claims.

One netizen said, "Since December, Zhang Hao has been targeted by malicious commenters in China who have spread all sorts of rumors and fabrications about him. While this is a problem, there are also groups deliberately spreading these false stories on online platforms to damage Zhang Hao's image. Due to the negative perception of his nationality, fans are hesitant to defend him, fearing it would only lead to more backlash against Zhang Hao. Fans have been holding back tears, knowing they can't do much about other forms of criticism. Even though all the rumors have been proven baseless, people should stop pretending to believe them and dragging them up just to insult Zhang Hao. He must have been cautious as a well-known figure in the area, and his past acquaintances only had praise for him as a trainee."

Another said, "But those who spread the rumors are also an issue. They should all be held accountable and face legal consequences."

What Did The Rumors Say?

"Boys Planet" winner Zhang Hao is facing controversy after photos allegedly showing him in a gay love affair emerged online. The rumors began when an individual, referred to as the "exposer," claimed to have met and had intimate encounters with Zhang Hao. They posted a tweet stating they had slept with the idol and shared a photo, claiming it was a rare item from their meetings.

Some netizens believe the images provide evidence of the relationship, while others argue that the rumors are unfounded and potentially damaging to the rising star. Several individuals have come forward to support Zhang Hao, contending that there is no concrete evidence to substantiate the exposer's claims. They argue that many people have taken photos with the popular singer, which could lead to numerous rumors.

As the rumors continue to gain momentum, concerns about potential legal action against those disseminating the allegations have arisen. Some netizens have cautioned others that Zhang Hao's agency, Yuehua Entertainment, has a reputation for pursuing legal action in similar situations.

The situation surrounding the Boys Planet champion's alleged gay love affair remains contentious. While some netizens are convinced that the rumors are true, others remain doubtful about the exposer's claims and urge caution in spreading unverified information.
