DSP Media has released its statement in regards to the defamation charges against Hyunjoo's brother.

Recently, it was revealed that the police already cleared Hyunjoo's brother against the defamation charges for stating that Hyunjoo was bullied by her bandmates when she was a part of APRIL.

Some media outlets also reported that the decision was made because of the sore reason that he had no intention to slander APRIL. Moreover, Hyunjoo's brother confirmed that what he said was true that Hyunjoo had been bullied by the bandmates.

In response, the legal representative of DSP Media has released a statement. They stated that some media outlets reported that the investigative agency already decided to clear Lee Hyungjoo's brother from the defamation charger.

It was after accepting she was bullied by the members of APRIL. However, it was different from the truth.

The statement fully quoted the exact reason for the defamation charges. It said that the charges were cleared as it is difficult to comment that there was an intention of defamation and everything was a recognition of false information.

Moreover, there was no confirmation of the members who were accused of bullying. The charges were cleared because the brother of Lee Hyunjoo had no recognition of false information in the posts that he wrote.

The police decided that the bullying incident was true because the 'shoe incident' and 'tumbler incident' had taken place. The post contents cannot be considered as false as it was close enough to the sequence of events that took place while Hyunjoo was still a part of the group and promoting with them.

Based on the investigation, the written post was out of frustration about the situation of his sister. He wanted to bring out the truth after seeing Lee Hyunjoo said that she had left the group out of her own accord.

DSP Media would like to request information that is different from the truth not to be spread online without confirming the facts.
