Hyunjoo, a former April member, shared an update about what is happening to her family amid the hullabaloo concerning her bullying claims against former co-members. The 23-year-old artist, who is now an actress, posted a lengthy message on her Instagram to let everyone know that her younger sibling is facing a lawsuit.

She said that her brother is still a student but had to go to court to clear the charges. Her family is focusing on handling her sibling's case first since he is still young. While her family is busy with legal works, Hyunjoo also learned that she herself had been sued as well.

The actress said she did not receive any information from the police, but she found out about her case through news reports. With this development, her family has to prepare for her lawsuit too. The former April member said that so far, she thinks she has been dealing with the legal procedures well.

In her post, she also seemingly shaded Chaewon, who just denied all her bullying allegations against the April members. Rather, Chaewon said that they had been very understanding of Hyunjoo when she made things difficult for the team as she often skipped practice and even disappeared when they were about to perform.

"Everyone is capable of doing wrong. However, when you accept your wrongdoings and put in effort to correct them, forgiveness becomes possible, and at that point, they may be called mistakes," Hyunjoo wrote on Instagram and translated by Allkpop. "So I would like to sincerely ask that you all stop your criticism and malicious comments toward the members, their acquaintances, and others."

Meanwhile, Hyunjoo has been sued by DSP Media, her former agency. She continues to claim that she was bullied while still part of the group, but the members Naeun, Jinsol, and Chaewon have also released their personal notes and refuted all the allegations. Now that she is also facing a lawsuit, she asked her fans to stop criticizing and sending malicious comments to the April members.
