Lee Kwang Soo is on the set of Running Man today as the show films every Monday. However, today's filming is different from the other days because this will be the last time that the 37-year-old is participating in the program's shoot.

Lee Kwang Soo is saying goodbye to the variety show that he has been part of for 11 years, and this day's filming would be his final Running Man episode. The actor and TV star was forced to leave the show for health reasons.

It was learned that up to now, he is still receiving rehabilitation and treatments for his ankle that was fractured due to a car accident in February last year. He took a short break after the mishap and returned to the show after a month, but it seems that full recovery was not achieved yet because he still feels some discomfort on his injured bone.

Moreover, since Running Man is a strenuous program where the cast members engaged in activities that needed physical strength, Lee Kwang Soo's ankle will not heal completely if he continues to put more pressure on it while carrying out missions, so he had to step down from the program.

As mentioned earlier, his final filming is today, May 24, and to show big love and support to her son, who is quitting from one of the longest-running variety shows in South Korea, Kwang Soo's mother sent him customized balloons with a warm message printed on them.

As translated by Koreaboo, one balloon has this message that reads:  "You did well, son! These words truly express a mothers' true heart. A surprise present for her son! Isn't this so cool?"

She also thanked her son for being in Running Man for the past 11 years and cheered him on by saying that she will support Lee Kwang Soo, whose days will continue to shine even more in the future.

Meanwhile, Lee Kwang Soo's mother's show of support to her son was divulged when the owner of the party shop called BonBon Bubble posted the story of how the actor's mother personally placed an order for the balloons on the shop's Instagram page.

The owner was so touched by her efforts and was even more surprised after learning that the balloons were for Lee Kwang Soo. It also turned out that the owner and the actor were schoolmates, so the personalized balloons were extra special.
