G-Dragon, who has been rocking his endorsed products with sky-rocketing sales, has repeatedly proved his significant influence during Valentine's Day!

A special edition of Nike was released on its Air Force 1 series. The kicks immediately saw a sharp increase in resale prices after the K-pop star took to Instagram to show off his newest addition to the shoe collection, thanks to K-pop Legend G-Dragon.

The Remarkable History Of Unparalleled Brand Power

As noted, this is not the first time that the famous Korean rapper significantly impacted Nike's releases. The footwear brand and G-Dragon collaborated for a new Air Force 1 called Para-Noise back in November 2019, which the idol himself designed. The pair were dropped on November 29, and it didn't take long until it was sold-out worldwide.

The Nike Air Force 1 Para-Noise was sold out in China in only 0.06 seconds. It took two minutes to be run out of stocks in the United Kingdom, five minutes in the United States and Canada, nine minutes in Indonesia, and 10 minutes in Australia.

In total, the special edition shoe release only took 30 minutes to sell out around the world, with a total of 44 countries from east to west.

The Idol Continuously Break Records

The fashion icon known for his highly-coveted partnership with the brand took to Instagram to share his newest pair of sneakers. "#HVD2021," with three close-up images of the "Valentine's Day" AF1, the celebrity shared a post that boasts heart-shaped perforations on the toe box and hidden details on the tongue.

The shoe's prices immediately jumped as high as KRW 400,000 (approximately USD 365) from its original retail price of KRW 169,000 (about USD 154) after GD's Instagram post, marking a roughly 137 percent increase.

The kicks were resold at around KRW 300,000 (approximately USD 273) on average, depending on the size. A follower joked, "He's the Elon Musk of the sneaker scene," while others added: "This must be the GD effect."
