The Bangtan Boys continue to dominate the competition!

The all-South Korean K-pop boy band, BTS, continues to sweep over Youtube with its latest feat. In a report by K-pop dedicated news site, Soompi, BTS surpasses the 1.1 Billion mark on Youtube for its DNA music video on October 5 (Monday). The impressive feat was bagged by the K-pop group approximately at 7:28 A.M., following the South Korea time zone.

The matter led the world's most phenomenal K-pop group to be the first Korean act to own a music video that achieves the massive success on the streaming platform.

The track

DNA hails two versions that come in the Korean and Japanese languages. The track was entirely sung by BTS, where the Korean version was released on September 18, 2017, as the main track for the group's extended play of the same year entitled Love Yourself: Her.

On the other hand, the Japanese version was made known on December 6 of the same year, under the label of Universal Music Japan.

The music video

The music video for DNA premiered at precisely 5 P.M. KST on the same day of its release, uploaded by Big Hit Entertainment's official Youtube channel.

The music video was helmed by Director YongSeok of Lumpens, hailing Wonju Lee as assistant director. The intense choreography bottles up Christopher Martin, with the help of Mari Madrid and Keone. Director of photography credits GDW's HyunWoo Nam.

The video is distinct from BTS' previous music videos as the group dances themselves out in CGI sets.

Other Youtube feats

In September, the K-pop singers and rappers broke another record on Youtube as the music video for Boy With Luv with American singer Halsey reached 950 million views.

Additionally, the group's latest single called Dynamite, hailed as the first K-pop track to sit on Billboard Hot 100 chart's first spot.
