Uhm Jung Hwa oozes with charm and elegance in her latest feature for the Cosmopolitan magazine. Along with the photo shoot, the actress sat down for an interview with the magazine and shared her new project girl group with Jessi, Lee Hyori, and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa.

The actress Uhm Jung Hwa is currently starring in the new action-comedy “Okay! Madam.” She shared that she was excited to return to the action genre for the first time in a while.

In the accompanying interview with cosmo, the actress expressed that starring in an action drama is an opportunity that doesn’t come around too often. She then became excited about the drama aspect as she revealed that she waited for five years since “Miss Wife” (also known as ‘Wonderful Nightmare’).

The actress shared that she never thought of acting as work. “When I’m on set, I feel happy, and I never feel tired when I’m working. I also like the energy that the people around give me.”

Lee Hyori recently announced on MBC’s “How Do You Play?” that she wanted to create a dream girl group Uhm Jung Hwa, Jessi, and Hwasa, and now, the dream came into a reality. Last month, the four female singers connected to discuss the possibility of a project girl group following the success of SSAK3’s activities.

In the interview, Uhm Jung Hwa explained why she joined the group saying, “If I don’t take advantage of the opportunity, when will I experience promoting in a group?”

Furthermore, when asked if she is worried that her image as a singer will limit her opportunities as an actress, Uhm Jung Hwa shared that there are times that she feels like the roles she receives is limited. She continued that she has to leap, embracing the freedom to sing her heart out and express herself on stage.

Being tagged as “Korea’s Madonna,” the veteran singer shared that she worked hard to live up to her nickname. But now, she expressed that she’d better not have the nickname because after all, she just worked to become “Uhm Jung Hwa.”

Lastly, Uhm Jung Hwa shared some advice to those people in their 20s and 30s. She recalled by experience that the age of 20s was the time she encountered lots of worries.

Uhm Jung Hwa expressed that she wants those in their 20s and 30s to always think of themselves as refreshing and admirable. Uhm Jung Hwa continued that she used to believe that she wouldn’t be able to do the things she wanted to undertake because of her age. But people still see her doing the things that she loves doing.
