Narsha of Brown Eyed Girls flaunts her tattoo while in a bikini photoshoot, and Koreans were not happy about it, indicating that discrimination toward tattoos remains high in South Korea.

After featuring JTBC's War on Obesity-Happy Reduction Life, Narsha completed the photo session where she reduced weight and maintained a right body tone by dieting effectively and keeping to a strict diet and regular exercise three hours a day.

Although the pictures were posted to commemorate her weight loss, healthy living, and wellness advocacy, Koreans clung to her stomach's tattoo, naming it "old school" and "unpleasant." Opposite to the Korean fans, her tattoo was loved by foreign fans, taken aback by her beautiful blazing body! (via Koreaboo)

As tattoos are not popular in South Korea, several K-Pop stars possessing tattoos have previously been associated with gang violence. In some areas, tattoos still are discriminated upon.

Even so, since tattoos are still considered taboo subjects, numerous pop stars retain their body art concealed or preferred for small, simple styles. The bold revelation from Narsha turned a few heads.

Check out the video below for a sneak peek of her photoshoot session.

ABOUT NARSHA
