Global pop star Jungkook has added a new achievement to his list with his solo album receiving certification from the Japan Record Association.

According to the Japan Record Association on December 8, BTS member Jungkook's first solo album 'GOLDEN' surpassed a cumulative shipment of 250,000 copies as of November, earning the Gold Disc 'Platinum' certification. This marks Jungkook's first time achieving a Gold Disc 'Platinum' certification as a solo artist. Previously, Jungkook received individual 'Gold' certifications from the Japan Record Association for his solo track 'Euphoria', the collaboration with Charlie Puth 'Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)', and his solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)'.

The Japan Record Association awards Gold Disc certifications monthly based on cumulative album shipments, including Gold (over 100,000 copies), Platinum (over 250,000 copies), and Double Platinum (over 500,000 copies).

'GOLDEN' has made significant achievements in Japan. Released on November 3rd, the album immediately soared to the top of the Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking' with sales of 205,961 copies, subsequently sweeping the 'Weekly Album Ranking', 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking', and 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking'.

In addition to the Japan Record Association, Jungkook has also received certifications in major pop markets such as the United States and the United Kingdom, solidifying his status as a 'global pop star'. His globally popular solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' achieved 'Platinum' and 'Silver' certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), respectively, based on digital single and album sales.
