BTS member V's solo album 'Layover' has been selected as one of the 'Top 30 Best Albums of 2023' in the UK, the home of pop music. The prestigious British entertainment magazine 'TimeOut' announced its list of 'The 30 Best Albums of 2023' on December 1, compiled from recommendations of editors around the world who shared their most frequently played records over the past 12 months.

V's 'Layover' impressively secured the 19th position on the list.

The top spot was taken by the 2023 new album of the famous American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey. The list predominantly features albums from renowned pop artists like Troye Sivan, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sam Smith, alongside albums from Anglo-American singer-songwriters and artists such as Raye and Cat Power.

In selecting V's album, 'TimeOut' commented, "His debut album adds a husky and sweet baritone to jazz-influenced R&B tracks, evoking a distinct nostalgia. A recommended track is 'Slow Dancing', a soulful track that flows beautifully with its choreography. There's also 'For Us', featuring interesting key changes midway through the song."

'Layover' has received considerable love in the UK. It charted for eight consecutive weeks on the UK Official 'Album Downloads' chart, setting a new record for the longest charting by a K-pop solo artist. The title track 'Slow Dancing' also broke K-pop records by charting for nine consecutive weeks on both the UK Official 'Single Downloads' and 'Single Sales' charts, debuting at number one on each.

With these achievements, V's 'Layover' continues to make a significant impact on the global music scene.
