BTS's V's self-composed track 'Sweet Night' continues its impressive run on Spotify, recently surpassing 350 million streams.

'Sweet Night', part of the OST for the drama 'Itaewon Class', was a track V composed, wrote, produced, and sang, initially planned for his mixtape. It generated buzz for V's full participation in its creation.

Imbued with V's unique sentimentality, especially fond of evoking a sense of longing, 'Sweet Night' debuted spectacularly, achieving a 'Perfect All-Kill (PAK)' by topping all major South Korean music charts, including Melon, Bugs, and Genie, upon its release.

Internationally, it was the first Korean release to top the iTunes Top Songs chart in Japan and entered at number one in both the United States and the United Kingdom, firing the starting gun for its global success. It set a world record by ranking first in 119 out of the 120 countries where iTunes is available.

V's 'Sweet Night' won the 'BEST OST Award' at the 'APAN STAR AWARDS 2020', recognizing his abilities as a singer-songwriter. It was also named the 'Most Streamed Drama OST' for two consecutive years, 2020 and 2021, on Spotify Wrapped.

At the time of its release, TIME magazine in the United States praised 'Sweet Night', stating, "V's 'Sweet Night' adds healing to the bittersweet story of the drama", "The song is notable for its warm melody, sweet acoustic guitar tunes that blend well with V's deep voice", "The lyrics excellently convey the emotions of the drama's protagonist Park Saeroyi", and "V's humming and whisper-like falsetto in the chorus convey a sense of comfort."

Even before his official solo debut, V has consistently showcased his unique musical prowess through group solo songs and self-composed tracks.

Currently, on Spotify, the number one most-streamed K-OST is also by V - 'Christmas Tree', with 360 million streams, followed by 'Sweet Night' in second place with 350 million streams.
