25-year old and VICTON member Han Seung Woo started his solo career with a bang!

The South Korean idol’s first extended play release entitled “Fame,” which was made available on August 10 (Monday) at precisely 6 P.M. KST, skyrocketed its way up to the no. 1 spit at the iTunes Top Albums charts. As per Soompi, the ranking dominated over eleven different countries on the same chart, including Hong Kong, Denmark, Thailand, Slovakia, Philippines, Vietnam, Turkey, and many more. And as Ibtimes, the coveted mini-album also soared in various album charts in Japan, Mexico, Sweden, and the United States of America.

Furthermore, Han Seung Woo doesn’t just stop there. On the same day “Fame” was made known, the album prominently achieved a sale of more than 30,000 copies. The figures made the extended play smash the first rank on Hanteo’s daily chart.

Moreover, the South Korean idol will gift his beloved fans a performance on Mnet’s “M Countdown” this coming August 13 as the kick-off for his “Fame” promotions.

In an exclusive interview, the singer described his mini-album as a reflection of his own story. Its lead single called “Sacrifice” sings about the novel of its name, which a sacrifice for love. On the other hand, the track titled “Forest” is for his beloved fans.

Han Seung Woo joined VICTON in 2016, and he is now the first member of the band to drop a solo album. VICTON is an acronym that stands for “Voice to New World,” and comprises seven all-boy members namely Heo Chan, Han, Kang Seung-Sik, Do Han-Se, Lim Se-Jun, Jun Sun-Bin, and Choi Byun-Chan.
