Dance crew Jinjo Crew has announced their intention to take legal action against defamatory posts targeting their members.

On September 1, law firm LYN, representing Jinjo Crew, stated, "Posts on various online communities, social media, and portal sites are indiscriminately reproducing and distributing a post from former Jinjo Crew member A, which alleges past sexual misconduct, without verifying the facts."

The firm further added, "Malicious posts, comments, and content that defame or insult Jinjo Crew and its members are being published and distributed. We intend to respond sternly by taking both civil and criminal legal actions."

On August 28th, former female member A of Jinjo Crew revealed that she had been sexually assaulted by a fellow crew member. Following this, Jinjo Crew announced the expulsion of the accused male member. They also apologized for not immediately expelling the member and for not being more considerate towards A. However, they clarified that some of the claims in A's post were not accurate.

Jinjo Crew, formed in 2001, is a renowned B-boy team that achieved a Grand Slam by winning all five major B-boy competitions in 2012. They also won the JTBC breaking survival show 'Showdown' last year.

On August 29, 2023, along with the statement from Jinjo Crew's representative Kim Heonjun, we announced our intention to take legal action, both civil and criminal, against those who reproduce and distribute A's post without verifying its authenticity or those who post malicious comments about Jinjo Crew and its members.

While many fans have shown support for Jinjo Crew, posts from A are still being indiscriminately reproduced and distributed on various online communities, social media, and portal sites. Malicious posts, comments, and content that defame or insult Jinjo Crew and its members continue to spread.

Such actions are clear illegal activities and subjects for legal action. Our law firm is preparing legal measures, including collecting evidence of online illegal activities and filing criminal complaints, to protect the reputation and dignity of Jinjo Crew and its members. We also plan to continuously monitor online illegal activities.

We would like to emphasize that any act of reproducing and distributing A's post without verifying its authenticity or posting malicious comments about Jinjo Crew and its members after this legal notice will be considered a clear illegal activity with malicious intent. We will respond sternly by taking both civil and criminal legal actions without tolerance.
