BLACKPINK's 'Pink Venom' Dance Practice Video Surpasses 200 Million Views on YouTube
BLACKPINK's dance practice video for their pre-release track 'Pink Venom' from their second full album has surpassed 200 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment on the 25th, BLACKPINK's 'Pink Venom' dance video crossed the 200 million view mark on YouTube around 10:23 PM the previous day, approximately 364 days after its release on August 25th of the previous year.
With this achievement, BLACKPINK now boasts a total of 11 dance practice videos that have garnered over 200 million views each. The explosive view count of both their music videos and dance practice videos has become a hallmark of BLACKPINK, showcasing the global music fans' fervent interest in the quartet's overwhelming performances.
Notably, this video achieved 20 million views within a day of its release, setting a new record for the highest number of views for a K-pop girl group's dance video within 24 hours.
'Pink Venom' is a hip-hop genre track that highlights BLACKPINK's unique charisma. The song features a powerful blend of intense beats and traditional Korean instrument sounds in its intro, complemented by sharp raps and lethal vocals that maximize each member's individual charm.
Upon its release, 'Pink Venom' topped the iTunes charts in 81 countries. It secured the #1 spot on the US Billboard Global 200 for two consecutive weeks and remained at the top of the Billboard Global for three consecutive weeks. Additionally, the track made its mark at #22 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Chart.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on their 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]', the largest scale world tour for a K-pop girl group, attracting approximately 1.75 million attendees. While they are currently engaging with fans in four North American cities including New Jersey, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, they are set to conclude the tour with grand finale performances in Seoul on September 16th and 17th.
