The musical 'Jamie' gave a leading role to NU'EST's Ren together with 2AM's Jo Kwon, ASTRO's MJ, and Shin Joo Hyup. When asked about the musical run during the interview, he shared that his supportive co-members of NU'EST prepared a special event for his first performance.

Ren also added that he received rice cakes, drinks, and a specialized cake for him where he shared with his other cast members and staff. Ren expressed that he received a standing ovation during one of his performances when his other NU'EST co-members witnessed 'Jamie.'

He received praise like "You are Amazing. You did well" and said that being recognized by his fellow members means a lot and makes him feel happy. The singer also shared the supportive advice he received from Minhyun, who starred in a musical last year, 'Marie Antoinette.'

Ren said that Minhyun told him that the journey will be tough and that it will be mentally and physically challenging, but the sense of accomplishment upon finishing the task cannot be described in words. Minhyun added, "But I believe in your capabilities. If you show who you are and be the person that we know, I'm sure the cast and crew will love you."

Ren also expressed his excitement in the news that 'Jamie' will have a limited run in Busan this September, where his family lives. He said that he feels like returning to his hometown with great success under his belt. "My grandma and all of my relatives will be there to watch me. I'm so happy."

'Jamie' is based on the real story of a 17-year-old high school student who dreams of becoming a drag queen, 2AM's Jo Kwon plays the role of Jamie.
