Chad Stahelski, together with Jason Spitz through their production banner 87Eleven Entertainment, is said to produce the upcoming film. At the same time, the script for the remake is set to be penned by Derek Kolstad.

According to Deadline, the insiders said the execs are very high on the text that Kolstad just conveyed and plan on meeting with directors for the job, as Stahelski is not expected to direct.

Furthermore, Chad Stahelski, according to sources, will only be involved in the production and not at all in the directing. Also, the Hollywood version will be participated by CJ E&M in the joint production.

Stahelski and his banner 87Eleven Entertainment, though been busy with the John Wick franchise for a couple of years, have stayed quite active on the producing front. They are currently helming the reboot of the cult classic 'Highlander' at Lionsgate, which Stahelski will be directing.
