HYBE Labels is revving up its strategy for global music domination by getting both its boy band and girl group to the top of the American Billboard main charts.

According to the US Billboard, NewJeans' second mini album 'Get Up' topped the 'Billboard 200' charts for the week of August 5th. The triple title tracks from this album, 'Super Shy' (ranked 48th), 'ETA' (ranked 81st), and 'Cool With You' (ranked 93rd) concurrently entered the Billboard 'Hot 100'. NewJeans is the first K-pop girl group to have three songs on the 'Hot 100' at the same time.

But NewJeans isn't the only HYBE Labels artist making waves on the Billboard charts. Last week, BTS's Jungkook skyrocketed to number 1 on the 'Hot 100' with his solo track 'Seven (feat. Latto)', maintaining a top 10 position for two consecutive weeks.

Critics agree that HYBE Labels is ushering in a new era of Billboard domination in terms of both quality and quantity. Although various K-pop artists have made their mark on the Billboard charts in the past, it's usually been one or two main acts from each company. In contrast, HYBE Labels boasts an impressive roster, including BTS, Seventeen, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, L'Esseraphim, and NewJeans, all of whom have achieved significant success on the Billboard main charts.

The gates of Billboard were first opened by Big Hit Music's BTS. Since the release of 'LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear' in 2018, BTS has scored six number-one albums on the 'Billboard 200'. Included in this are a total of eight songs, including six group songs and featured songs, as well as Jimin's solo song 'Like Crazy', and Jungkook's solo song 'Seven (feat. Latto)', all of which topped the 'Hot 100'.

Big Hit Music's junior group TOMORROW X TOGETHER took up the baton from BTS. With their fifth mini-album 'The Book of Name: TEMPTATION', they achieved their first 'Billboard 200' number one just under four years after their debut, marking their transition to global stardom beyond the label of 'K-pop 4th Generation Leader'.

PLEDIS Entertainment's Seventeen hit number two on the 'Billboard 200' with their tenth mini album 'FML', while BELIFT LAB's ENHYPEN reached number four with their fourth mini-album 'DARK BLOOD', and Source Music's L'Esseraphim ranked sixth with their first full album 'UNFORGIVEN', all setting new personal bests.

Subsequently, Seventeen's mini album 'FML' has sold over 6.2 million copies, writing a new chapter in K-pop history. Both ENHYPEN and L'Esseraphim have been listed in the Billboard main charts for eight weeks ('Billboard 200') and 13 weeks ('Global 200', 'Global Excl. US') respectively.

The success of HYBE artists is attributed to the successful implementation of a multi-label strategy. HYBE ensures autonomy and independence for each of its labels (Big Hit Music, BELIFT LAB, Source Music, PLEDIS Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, Ador) and supports the continuous creation of high-quality music and diverse content.

Furthermore, HYBE is realizing its vision of 'boundaryless expansion' by establishing business bases in Korea, the US, and Japan. They've strategically collaborated with Scooter Braun Projects, which manages major pop stars such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and The Kid LAROI; Big Machine Label Group, which includes country music artists like Aaron Lewis, Avenue Beat, and Brantley Gilbert; and Quality Control Music, home to hip hop artists like Migos, Lil Baby, and Lil Yachty. This has enabled HYBE America to pioneer its foray into the mainstream pop market.

If the super IP virtuous cycle continues under HYBE's multi-label strategy, K-pop's influence in the global music market is expected to be even more entrenched.
