SHINee's 8th full-length album, 'HARD', has garnered considerable attention from British media outlet i-D.

SHINee, a group under SM Entertainment, has been in the spotlight with their 8th studio album, 'HARD', which i-D, a renowned British media outlet covering a wide range of cultural trends from music to fashion, praised in an article titled '12 Excellent Albums to Soundtrack Summer 2023', published on its official website on the 19th (local time). The album has drawn high interest from music fans worldwide.

Remarkably, 'HARD' was the only K-pop album mentioned in the article, selected alongside albums from globally recognized artists such as King Krule, Kim Petras, and Janelle Monáe, reaffirming SHINee's distinct global status.

i-D detailed their appreciation for the title track 'HARD', stating, "The song intertwines rap from various eras, from the 80's boom bap to 00's minimalism, harmonized with the members' attractive vocals." Also, the track 'Insomnia' was highly praised, with its "rich guitar sound and heavenly harmony bringing to mind the groove of a jazz club on a rainy night."

The media outlet also complimented SHINee's musical prowess, "SHINee has been pioneering a sustainable niche market focusing on harmony and musicality. As K-pop spreads globally, new artists continue to build upon the legacy that SHINee has established." They further added, "SHINee has proven with 'HARD' that they are transcending their limits," drawing attention to the significant achievements of this album.

Previously, SHINee's 8th studio album 'HARD' achieved great success, topping the iTunes album charts in 43 regions worldwide, reaching first place on the worldwide iTunes album chart, the QQ Music Digital Album Sales Chart in China, Recochoku's daily album ranking in Japan, domestic music and album charts, and achieving double crown on the Circle Chart Music Division (Downloads, BGM). They also won five music show awards, receiving immense love from fans.

In other news, SHINee is set to release a film to celebrate their 15th debut anniversary in September, tentatively titled 'My SHINee World' and directed by Lee Hu-bin.
