The much-anticipated K-pop concert that was scheduled to be held in Indonesia last year has been cancelled due to a local fraud case.

The colossal 'Let's Love Indonesia, We The One K-POP Concert,' which was planned to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, in November last year, was cancelled due to fraudulent actions perpetrated by a local representative. The details of the incident have only been revealed eight months later.

Jae-Hyun Park, head of Red Angel, the South Korean fan group that organized the concert, explained the incident: "A Korean-Indonesian individual, Indonesian event companies, and fake ticket companies pretending to be local agents deliberately approached us, entrapped us in immigration law violations, and then arrested us. They then immobilized us, took the concert profits, and even attempted to extort more money by contacting our families in Korea with 'voice phishing' scams. The full scale of this fraud scheme has now been exposed."

Park acknowledged, "It was wrong to trust the fraudsters so blindly," but added, "Despite this, thanks to the assistance of Indonesian K-pop fans and local attorneys, we were able to clarify the truth miraculously. Currently, those involved in the fraud ring are in custody and under police investigation for habitual fraud and embezzlement."

Originally, the concert was a mega project set to take place from November 10th to 12th last year at Jakarta's Bung Karno Stadium, featuring nine popular K-pop idol teams and even selecting an Indonesian K-pop idol.

This event was an extension of the global charity concerts that Red Angel, in partnership with the Salvation Army, had been organizing for eight consecutive times. The fact that it had already secured pre-sponsorship agreements with the Mandiri Bank, a large-scale global bank in Indonesia, lent credibility to the concert and made the cancellation even more shocking.

The twist in the incident was thanks to the Indonesian K-pop fans who initially reported the concert's cancellation out of anger. During the investigation, K-pop fans who came to understand the truth actively stepped forward as friendly witnesses. The law firm team 'Law Firm Indian Ocean' led by Korean-Indonesian lawyer Kim Jong-Sung took on the role of legal representative, helping to uncover the facts of the case.

Red Angel stated, "Despite being in a state of complete mental breakdown, we decided to postpone the fully prepared K-pop concert and contacted the K-pop idol agencies, which had already issued tickets for the flight to Indonesia, to request their understanding." They bowed their heads, saying, "We once again apologize and express our gratitude to the K-pop agencies and fans who worried and waited with us."

Park showed strong resolve, stating, "In honor of the Indonesian K-pop fans who actively helped us, we are determined to re-launch the 'We The One' Indonesian concert and restore our reputation. Over the next four months, we are planning performances involving 12 teams, including the original K-pop idols. For this purpose, we are still staying in Indonesia."
