Girl group NewJeans' pre-release single 'Super Shy' has successfully entered the UK's Official Singles 'Top 100' chart - a direct hit just a week after its release.

One of the triple title tracks from NewJeans' (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) second mini album 'Get Up,' 'Super Shy' ranked 59th on the UK's Official Singles 'Top 100' chart announced on July 14th (local time).

'Super Shy' is the second song from NewJeans to enter the UK's Official Singles 'Top 100.' Earlier this year in January, NewJeans managed to place their pre-released song 'Ditto' from the single album 'OMG' at 95th on the same chart.

It took about four weeks for 'Ditto' to make its way into the UK's Official Singles 'Top 100.' This was a meaningful achievement for a rookie group that had only debuted six months prior, but 'Super Shy' has indicated an even better start, hinting at NewJeans' steep growth curve.

In addition, NewJeans achieved their personal best by taking the 9th spot (as of July 13th) on Spotify's U.S. 'Daily Top Songs.' This makes them a promising act in the United States Billboard charts, widely recognized as one of the two major pop charts globally alongside the UK Official.

The strides made by NewJeans, who are expanding their influence in the mainstream pop markets in the U.S. and UK even before fully launching their international activities, are attracting attention. NewJeans is scheduled to take the stage at the major American music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago' on the 3rd of next month. This opportunity is expected to further increase NewJeans' stature and influence.

The group is already on a roll in the domestic charts. 'Super Shy' is securely holding the top spots on major domestic music charts like Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Flo. With a total of six tracks including the other title songs 'ETA' and 'Cool With You' set to be included in their second mini album 'Get Up' releasing on the 21st, the 'NewJeans Syndrome' is expected to continue.

Meanwhile, NewJeans premiered their pre-release stage on KBS2's 'Music Bank' on the 14th. They caught the eye with the upbeat and dynamic choreography of 'Super Shy' and the distinctive dance of the five members that reminded fans of 'Powerpuff Girls' in 'New Jeans.' NewJeans is scheduled to appear on SBS's 'Inkigayo' tomorrow (16th).
