Group SEVENTEEN is rewriting K-pop history with record-breaking album sales, demonstrating a stepwise growth trajectory.

On the 5th, SEVENTEEN's (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) tenth mini-album 'FML' surpassed 6.2 million sales.

This not only establishes a new record for SEVENTEEN themselves but also sets the highest sales record for a single album in K-pop history. Particularly, SEVENTEEN's 'FML' is the only album to record over 6 million sales as a single album.

'FML', which was released in April, already broke the K-pop record by selling 4,552,214 copies in the first week of release. At that time, this figure greatly exceeded the 3.37 million of the second-place holder, BTS's 'MAP OF THE SOUL : 7', marking a new era in K-pop.

'FML' also differed in terms of pre-orders, with 4.64 million copies. Mingyu stated, "Our debut album sold 1,400 copies, meaning we've grown by about 3,000 times," proudly highlighting SEVENTEEN's steady growth.

Even though this is SEVENTEEN's 9th year since debut, their growth is still ongoing. Notably, they were ranked on the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' for nine consecutive weeks, a first for SEVENTEEN.

According to the chart released by Billboard on the 5th (for the week of July 8th), 'FML' ranked 193rd on the 'Billboard 200'. In addition, SEVENTEEN ranked 6th on the 'World Albums' chart, 8th on the 'Top Current Album Sales' chart, and 9th on the 'Top Album Sales' chart, demonstrating their lasting power even after their promotional activities have ended.

SEVENTEEN originally started in the small-to-medium-sized agency Pledis Entertainment. With the in-house producer Woozi leading the way, they pride themselves on 'self-production' and hold numerous hit songs such as 'Adore U', 'Mansae', 'Pretty U', 'VERY NICE', 'BOOMBOOM', and 'Don't Wanna Cry'.

All eyes are on them to see what 'firsts', 'mosts', and 'bests' of K-pop they will set next.
