FIFTY FIFTY, the girl group popularly known as the "Miracle of the Underdogs," has been hit by a wave of misfortune that casts a shadow over their promising career.

On June 23rd, their agency, Attract, announced, "Due to medical symptoms appearing in one of the members, we have, in agreement with the member and their family, followed the advice of physicians and undergone surgery on May 2nd." They added, "Depending on the doctor's diagnosis, a recovery period of one to two months is necessary. We have decided to suspend all activities of the artists and give rest periods to the other members as well, as health is of utmost importance."

The agency went on to say, "During this time, we have prepared extensively by significantly expanding and improving our existing system to better support our artists."

However, Attract confirmed that during this time, external forces had attempted to breach their exclusive contracts with the artists by luring them away. The agency stated, "These external forces have been conducting illegal activities by trying to convince our artists to make wrong decisions and ignore their valid exclusive contracts with us, by defaming our company and glorifying themselves."

Attract added, "Such acts by these external forces trample on the pure love of fans and can greatly damage the image and future potential of our artists, who have only debuted seven months ago, and even have a serious negative impact on the whole of K-pop."

Attract expressed outrage at the illicit actions of these malicious external forces trying to usurp the tremendous miracle achieved by a small and powerless agency. They emphasized, "We will respond calmly and firmly, and we will fight to the end without any compromise with these external forces, making them legally responsible."

FIFTY FIFTY debuted on November 18th of last year with their EP album 'THE FIFTY.' They subsequently received much love for their first single album's title track 'Cupid' from 'The Beginning: Cupid' released on February 24th. 'Cupid,' a retro-inspired track combining minimal disco beats and funky basslines, made a splash in the global music market.

'Cupid' entered the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' just four months after their debut. It initially ranked 100 in the first week of April, then jumped to 94 in the second week, and 85 in the third week.

Recently, it set a new record. As of the 24th, 'Cupid' recorded 24th in the 'Billboard Hot 100.' As a result, FIFTY FIFTY continued charting for a total of 13 weeks, surpassing the 12-week record set by the collaboration between girl group BLACKPINK and Dua Lipa with 'Kiss and Makeup.' This marks the longest charting record for a K-pop girl group.

This achievement was a miracle carved out by FIFTY FIFTY and their agency. FIFTY FIFTY revealed in a press conference celebrating their Billboard chart entry last April that they had put a lot of effort into the album.

FIFTY FIFTY emphasized that they wanted to embody a message of proactive advancement in 'Cupid.' The members said, "We wanted to convey the message that great results can be achieved when one takes a proactive and autonomous approach."

They also shared that they received a lot of help and advice from the agency. FIFTY FIFTY said, "We think our differentiator is authenticity. From our trainee days, our company family always told us, 'Always be authentic', 'Be honest', and 'Stick to the basics'."

Thus, FIFTY FIFTY created a miracle imbued with their desire to achieve success proactively. This makes their success all the more valuable.

However, external forces have emerged to ride on their popularity. This has enraged the agency. The agency in particular declared legal actions against the external forces and mentioned the famous quote of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, "If you wish to live, you will die; if you wish to die, you will live," pledging to fight against these forces with a desperate resolve. This declaration marks the agency's initiation of a war against these external threats.
