Pop sensation Fifty Fifty is in the midst of a conflict over exclusive contracts with their managing agency, Attrakt Entertainment.

On June 23, Attrakt Entertainment claimed that there are external forces luring Fifty Fifty into violating their exclusive contracts. The company criticised these forces, stating, "These outsiders are committing illegal acts, inducing our artists to disregard valid exclusive contracts and sign with them, by defaming our company and whitewashing themselves."

The company firmly expressed its position, voicing outrage at the illicit actions of these external forces who attempt to rob the miracles achieved by a small and powerless agency like theirs. However, Attract Entertainment vowed to respond calmly and firmly, saying, "We will fight to the end without any compromise with these outside forces, and hold them legally responsible."

Attrakt Entertainment also explained the reasons why Fifty Fifty had no choice but to take a hiatus despite their global popularity. As of June 22, Fifty Fifty had entered the 'Billboard Hot 100', the main single chart in the US, for 13 consecutive weeks with 'Cupid', released last February. Despite performing well on both overseas and domestic charts, the group had been notably inactive.

Attrakt explained, "We understand that there are many fans who are curious and worried why our artists are not active at a time when they should be active. In fact, one of the members exhibited medical symptoms. Following doctor's instructions, and with the agreement of the member and their family, we proceeded with treatment and surgery on May 2nd." They revealed that they had also given a rest period to the other members, adhering to the doctor's diagnosis that a recovery period of at least one to two months would be necessary.

During this period, Attrakt said it had been preparing to significantly expand and improve its existing system to more faithfully support their artists. The agency stressed its policy of prioritizing the long-term growth and development of their artists over immediate gains.

Attrakt Entertainment pledged to take strong legal action against the external forces that are approaching Fifty Fifty and causing conflict. In the words of the late Admiral Yi Sun-sin, they expressed their determination by saying, "He who seeks death will live, and he who seeks life will die. We will fight to protect our artists, who have become valuable talents of South Korea, and repay the unwavering love of the fans by working harder for their development."

Meanwhile, Fifty Fifty is a four-member girl group that made their debut with the mini-album 'THE FIFTY' in December last year. Their title track 'Cupid' from the album 'The Beginning: Cupid', released in February this year, has been receiving significant attention in short-form and global charts, creating a sensation in their home country as well.

Greetings, this is an official statement from Attrakt, the agency for FIFTY FIFTY.

Firstly, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the local and international fans who have shown immense support for our artists over the past few months.

We are aware that many fans are curious and worried about why our artists have not been active during their peak activity period. In fact, due to medical symptoms of one of our members, we decided to focus on treatment following consultations with the member and their family, and proceeded with surgery on May 2nd, according to the doctor's advice. Following the doctor's diagnosis, we have suspended activities for all artists, estimating a recovery period of at least one month and up to two months, and giving rest periods to the other members as well, prioritizing their health as the most important.

During this period, our agency has been preparing to greatly expand and improve our existing system to more faithfully support our artists. Rather than focusing on immediate short-term benefits, our basic policy is to pursue the long-term growth and development of our artists.

However, we have identified external forces that have approached our artists during this preparation period, enticing them to breach their exclusive contract with us. These external forces are engaging in illegal activities, luring our artists into making wrong decisions by ignoring their valid exclusive contract with us, defaming our company, and painting themselves in a rosy light.

Such behavior from these external forces is a trampling on the pure love of fans, and can greatly damage the image and future potential of our artists who have only debuted seven months ago, and even cause serious negative impacts on the whole K-pop industry.

Despite starting as a small company, our agency, which has always had bold dreams, has managed to write a new history of K-pop even in the face of financial difficulties, and continues to do so in the present, garnering cheers from fans not only domestically, but worldwide. We can't help but be outraged at the illegal activities of these unscrupulous external forces trying to snatch away this incredible miracle achieved by our small but powerful agency. However, we will respond coolly and firmly, fight to the end without any compromise with these external forces, and hold them legally responsible.

Inspired by the words of Admiral Yi Sun-shin, "One who wishes to live must fight to the death, and one who wishes to die shall live," we vow to fight with this desperate determination. We will protect our artists who have become precious talents in Korea and make more efforts for their growth, to repay the generous support of our loving fans.

Thank you.
