'Family' Killer's Reunion: Jang Nara Returns, Kim Nam-hee Threatened, and the Trigger Pulled at Imi Sook
In a dramatic revelation, the hidden past of Chae Jung-an was unveiled.
In the 8th episode of the tvN drama "Family: The Unbreakable Bond," aired on May 9, the past of Oh Chun-ryeon (Chae Jung-an) living with Ma Yeon-rim (Lee Mi-sook) at MGD was shown. The young Kang Yura (Jang Nara) observed this scene upon her arrival at the MGD training camp, revealing that Yura and Chun-ryeon had a connection in the past.
Yura confronted Cho Tae-gu (Kim Nam-hee) with a sharp dagger in hand. A fierce fight broke out between the two, with Tae-gu overpowering Yura and ordering her to deal with Yeon-rim, asking if she remembered Nabi. Yura replied with a demand to keep the promise of letting her go once she completed the task.
Kwon Do-hoon (Jang Hyuk) met with Ma Yeon-rim, who confessed that Chun-ryeon was the most outstanding child they had created at MGD. Do-hoon mentioned Chun-ryeon's father was a missionary and that she ran away once she became an adult, but Yeon-rim corrected him, stating that she made up that story.
Yeon-rim asked Do-hoon to find her daughter and granddaughter, who were taken by Chun-ryeon. Do-hoon began to investigate Chun-ryeon's past, following her and confirming her involvement with MGD. He also learned that there were two more MGD members whose whereabouts were unknown.
Chun-ryeon discovered that the person controlling MGD had recently entered the country from Thailand. Yoon Chae-ri (Lee Chae-young) showed Tae-gu's passport information to Chun-ryeon and asked her to investigate, explaining that she met him by chance when he entered Korea carrying a cello case that was too heavy to be just a cello.
Chun-ryeon tracked down Tae-gu and entered his hotel room, where she received a call from him. Tae-gu claimed to have been waiting for her, and Chun-ryeon recalled the group photo of MGD members she had received in the mail.
Chun-ryeon received a call from her boss, ordering her to leave Nabi to them. She immediately texted Yeon-rim, instructing her to leave Korea for the time being. Yeon-rim agreed on the condition of seeing her children one more time.
Yura, ordered to deal with Nabi through Tae-gu, found Yeon-rim and showed her one of her bullets. Yeon-rim recognized Yura and expressed her curiosity about how the girl who used to save bullets had grown up. Yura advised Yeon-rim to flee so she wouldn't have to commit murder.
Chun-ryeon took Yeon-rim to a performance hall, telling her that her family would soon come out and to wait for their return. As they said their goodbyes, Yeon-rim revealed that the person who shot Wolf was not the real Bullet and gave a hint that it was "number 27."
Do-hoon, waiting from a distance with a rifle, aimed at Nabi. A gunshot rang out in front of the performance hall, and Yeon-rim fell to the ground. Startled, Do-hoon searched for the real shooter, only to find Yura, who had fired the shot. However, neither Yura nor Do-hoon recognized each other.
