BLACKPINK member Jisoo has shattered a new record for K-pop female solo artists on Spotify.

According to YG Entertainment on May 2, Jisoo's debut solo album title track 'FLOWER' surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. Achieving this milestone in just 32 days since its release on March 31, Jisoo now holds the record for the shortest time taken by a K-pop female solo artist.

The previous shortest records for K-pop female solo artists reaching 100 million streams on Spotify were held by Lisa's 'MONEY' (37 days) and 'LALISA' (46 days). BLACKPINK members now occupy the top three spots in this category, further solidifying their dominance in the global music market.

'FLOWER' entered the Spotify Daily Top Songs Global Chart at number six and the UK Official Singles Top 100 Chart at number 38, setting new records for K-pop female solo artists. The song also secured the second spot on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

The album sales were equally impressive. 'ME' sold a total of 1,172,351 copies from March 31 to April 6, achieving 'million-seller' status and breaking the record for the highest initial sales by a K-pop female solo artist.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently embarking on their largest-scale world tour for a K-pop girl group, the 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK],' attracting approximately 1.5 million fans. Following the ongoing successful Asia tour, the group is set to continue with stadium tours in Paris, France, and four North American cities.

BLACKPINK made history as the first K-pop headliner at the US 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,' garnering enthusiastic responses from music fans worldwide. In July, they will also be the first K-pop artists to headline the UK music festival 'Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival.'
