Kim Ji Yeon, better known as Kei, is a former member of the popular K-pop group Lovelyz. With the group currently on an indefinite hiatus, fans are eager to know what Kei has been up to lately. Here's an update on her activities and plans for the future.

Kei, born on March 20, 1995, in Incheon, South Korea, debuted with Lovelyz in 2014 with their first full-length album "Girls' Invasion." The group consisted of eight members, including Kei, Sujeong, Jin, Jiae, Yein, Jisoo, Mijoo, and Baby Soul. Throughout their career, Lovelyz released multiple hits, such as "Hi~," "For You," "Destiny," and more.

Kei ventured into her solo career on October 8, 2019, with her album "Over and Over" featuring the title track "I Go." Notably, she used her real name, Kim Ji Yeon, for her solo work. Lovelyz's last comeback as a group was on September 1, 2020, with their mini-album "Unforgettable."

On November 16, 2021, it was announced that seven Lovelyz members, including Kei, had left Woollim Entertainment. Baby Soul was the only member to renew her contract. The group then went on an indefinite hiatus, allowing the members to focus on their solo activities. Baby Soul confirmed that the members are still open to future group activities.

Following her departure from Woollim Entertainment, Kei signed with Palmtree Island on January 10, 2022, where she pursued a career as a musical actress. However, she left the agency after nine months. On December 2, 2022, she joined A2Z Entertainment, home to the acclaimed soloist Ailee. Reports indicated that Kei is currently preparing for a solo album release.

Recently, Mnet announced the first lineup for their upcoming show "Queendom Puzzle," a spin-off of the popular "Queendom" series. Kei is confirmed to participate in the program alongside other artists such as former IZ*ONE member Lee Chaeyeon, former CLC member Yeeun, former MOMOLAND member JooE, LABOUM's Haein, "Produce 48" contestant Shiroma Miru, and members from Weeekly.
