Singer Psy has apologized to fans who were disappointed by his slimmer figure.

On April 24, Psy uploaded a video of himself participating in the popular 'Ding Ding Song' challenge with the caption "Ding Ding Dang Dang Dang."

Dancing to Vietnamese singer and actor Hoang Tu Ling's "See Tình," Psy attracted attention with his unique flexible dance moves and slimmed-down physique.

In particular, Psy's slimmer figure drew a heated response from fans who jokingly accused him of neglecting self-care.

Netizens commented, "Is this body management on hold? Are you trying to distract us with flashy clothes?", "Entertainers should prioritize self-care, but you don't qualify. Why is your belly gone?", "Where did you leave your belly?", and "This is the physique before the deposit" among other reactions.

As a one-of-a-kind singer who receives concerns for not maintaining his figure when losing weight, fans continued with their playful reactions. Psy had previously expressed his intention to gain weight due to netizens' 'whipping' comments urging him to manage himself better. This time, Psy responded to netizens pointing out his physique with continuous "I'm sorry" comments, eliciting laughter.

Psy had mentioned this issue when he appeared on JTBC's "Knowing Bros" last April.

When Kang Ho-dong pointed out Psy's weight loss, saying "You completely failed in self-management. You lost weight. You should always manage your figure," Psy replied, "It's a bit sad, but in the past, no matter how much I danced, my figure stayed the same, but now when I dance, I lose weight," drawing attention.

Meanwhile, Psy's concert footage, "Psy Hapjeong Show 2022," will be exclusively released on Disney+ on May 3.
