The music video for "FAKE LOVE," the title track from BTS's third full-length album "LOVE YOURSELF: Tear," released on May 18, 2018, exceeded 1.2 billion views on YouTube around 3:54 PM on the 24th. With this milestone, the music video has become BTS's sixth music video to reach 1.2 billion views.

"FAKE LOVE" entered Billboard's main singles chart 'Hot 100' at No. 10 and remained on the chart for six consecutive weeks, while LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear' debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's main album chart 'Billboard 200' and stayed on the chart for 15 consecutive weeks. BTS set a new record as the first Korean artist to achieve both No. 1 on the 'Billboard 200' and Top 10 on the 'Hot 100' in the first week of release with this song and album.
