An office villain living a company life filled with lies has emerged.

On April 17, MBN's "Office Villain" aired an episode featuring the story of a co-worker with a severe case of compulsive lying, "Kim Gyunam."

Gyunam claimed, "BLACKPINK's Jennie called me out of the blue. We were high school friends. She said she's nearby?" asserting that he was close to Jennie. Upon hearing this, the story's narrator, Uee, challenged Gyunam, saying, "Tell her to come to the company." Gyunam responded, "Her manager won't allow it because it's too public," and pretended to be on a call with Jennie.

When a supervisor mentioned they were unsure of what gift to give their boyfriend, Gyunam recommended perfume, saying, "I bought this perfume for my brother's birthday, and he liked it." Later, when asked about his brother, Gyunam left everyone perplexed by saying, "I don't have a brother."

Uee questioned Gyunam, "Didn't you say you recommended the perfume you gave your brother to the supervisor?" Gyunam replied, "It was actually for my boyfriend. We're secretly dating, and he's a second-generation chaebol."

Later, a man appeared in front of the company and encountered Yoo Ee and the supervisor. The man said, "I'm Gyunam's boyfriend. Tell Gyunam to pack his things from our house because it's really over now." Uee relayed the message to Gyunam, who sighed and pretended, "I guess my mom gave him some money."

What angered Uee the most was Gyunam stealing a project using false credentials. Uee lost the project she wanted to do to Gyunam, who claimed to have interned at the partnering company. Uee called a close sister at the company to ask if Gyunam actually had intern experience. The response was, "His resume looked good, but when I asked, he couldn't answer anything. We rejected him because it was uncomfortable. He never worked, only had an interview."

Furious, Uee confronted Gyunam, asking, "Did you really intern?" Gyunam shamelessly replied, "For about six months?" Yoo Ee pressed, "I confirmed it was a fake credential. Everything on your resume is a lie, isn't it?" In the end, Gyunam pleaded, "I have to pay rent and student loans. I can't lose my job. I won't lie again," and Yoo Ee agreed to let it go on the condition that Gyunam never lies again.

A labor attorney who saw the situation said, "This is the most severe case I've seen so far. Falsifying credentials is a serious crime. All the various qualifications were also fake. He must have submitted all documents related to career and qualifications as forged documents, and in this case, it becomes an issue of forgery of private documents in addition to career forgery. It's impossible for the company's HR team to let it go as he could lie to partner companies and customers as well."
