BLACKPINK's Jisoo Unfazed by Coachella Performance: A True Superstar
BLACKPINK member Jisoo revealed her fearless side in a recent YouTube appearance.
On April 7, the YouTube content series "Nothing Prepared" (abbreviated 'Cha Jjippal') featured a meeting between host Lee Young-ji and BLACKPINK's Jisoo.
To celebrate the first filming of Season 2, Lee Young-ji kicked off the show with high energy by playing a Hello Kitty drum set. She also prepared Hello Kitty-themed pajamas and tableware for Jisoo, who is known to be a fan of the character. This thoughtful gesture warmed the hearts of viewers.
At the time of filming, Jisoo was preparing for her solo debut and shared her song "Flower" with Lee Young-ji and the 'Cha Jjippal' staff, curious about their reactions. She also mentioned the other BLACKPINK members' reactions, saying, "They're not jealous of my solo debut, but they do envy me for being on 'Cha Jjippal.'" Jisoo promised fans a future appearance featuring all BLACKPINK members, further raising expectations.
When asked if she had any concerns as a member of the global girl group BLACKPINK, Jisoo candidly replied that she wasn't nervous about being selected as the main headliner for Coachella. Lee Young-ji responded, "That's because you're a superstar." Surprisingly, Jisoo admitted to being more nervous playing a Hello Kitty pirate game with Lee Young-ji.
Jisoo also showcased her positive side, saying, "I sometimes feel down, but I usually feel better after sleeping." She described herself as an introvert, stating, "Some people ask if I feel empty when I'm alone, but I don't. In fact, I feel excited. I think, 'Today is my day.'"
Jisoo expressed her humble attitude toward BLACKPINK's popularity, saying, "Even if our popularity declines in the future, I don't think I would be stressed. As we go down, other teams will rise. We actually prefer that K-pop's popularity continues to grow." Her heartfelt comments touched viewers.
Furthermore, Jisoo dismissed rumors of discord within BLACKPINK, saying, "We laugh about it among ourselves." She also humorously mentioned feeling pressure to lose weight because her fellow members are so slim.
