BLACKPINK's Jisoo is receiving positive responses both domestically and internationally as her first solo album title track "Flower" sweeps the top ranks of major music charts.

YG Entertainment announced on the 2nd that "Flower" ranked 6th on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global Chart on its release day, the 31st. The song recorded 4.67 million streams on the day of its release and topped the iTunes Top Songs charts in 63 countries, including the United States.

"Flower" also maintains top positions on domestic music charts such as Naver Vibe, Melon, Genie, and Bugs. The music video surpassed 37 million views on YouTube within 20 hours of its release, becoming the "Most-Watched Video in 24 Hours." The album achieved sales of 876,249 copies in just one day.

YG stated, "The Spotify Daily Top Songs Global Chart ranking, first-day streaming count, and first-day artist page followers are all the highest records for a K-pop female solo artist."

International media outlets such as the American Billboard, British Rolling Stone, and NME praised Jisoo's solo debut and her album.

NME described "Flower" as a song containing elegance, creativity, modern elements, and traditional beauty, stating, "Undoubtedly one of the best K-pop songs of the year." They also praised the lyrics, saying, "From the first line, it's clear that Jisoo is expressing herself distinctly as a solo artist. It's filled with poetic and beautiful metaphors, yet it clearly conveys the theme of the song."

Billboard predicted that "Jisoo has truly blossomed, and soon her records will stand alongside those of other BLACKPINK members." Rolling Stone anticipated that "With "Flower" as a starting point, the world will pay attention to Jisoo's future activities."
