A possible collaboration with South Korean artist G-Dragon and Australian director Baz Luhrmann could be in the works, with the former sharing several Elvis Presley-related photos on his Instagram handle, captioning it #ELVIS2022.

In the pictures posted, G-Dragon is seen in different poses with the concept of the legendary American icon. He wears a t-shirt with a face print of Elvis as well as a belt with an Elvis-face buckle. It is being speculated that he is a part of a collaboration for the movie "Elvis", which is going to be released on the 13th.

The director of "Elvis", Baz Luhrmann made an announcement of a surprise coming soon in the reply that he left on G-Dragon's Instagram post. He wrote GD (G-Dragon) + EP (Elvis Presley) = TCB. Incidentally, TCB is short for "Taking Care of Business", which is the name of the King of Rock and Roll's band. G-Dragon had tagged the handles of the director, Elvis, and his own personal team.

Meanwhile, Luhrmann disclosed his reasons for visiting South Korea because of his wish to work with the icons of K-pop, especially after watching the performance of 2PM six years ago.

"Elvis" is similar to "Bohemian Rhapsody", in the sense that it is a music film where the viewers get the chance to sing along to some of Presley's most iconic songs, just as the viewers of Freddie Mercury's film had done for it. The timeless songs of one of the world's hugest stars ever come alive on the big screen.

According to the director, Elvis has a direct connection to K-pop as American GIs got Rock and Roll into Korea early on, and the genre got a new form after mixing with the local talent. He added that Korean culture is about being able to bridge people together. The director also shared that he has been working with icons of K-pop to create some music.

The multi-faceted Luhrmann is among Australia's most successful directors and is famous for his internationally-acclaimed movies "Australia", "William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet", "Moulin Rouge", and "The Great Gatsby", with the last two movies' soundtracks also getting Grammy nominations.
