The wishes of all the ONCEs, the official fandom of K-pop girls group TWICE, are finally beginning to come true, with the members starting to embark on their solo careers, starting with Nayeon.

The band's management company JYP Entertainment announced at midnight KST on May 19 that Nayeon is going to release her solo debut mini-album.

The announcement was made via a debut teaser image, according to which the title of the album is "IM NAYEON". It is slated for a June 24 release and will be dropped at 12 AM EST, while the pre-orders worldwide will start from May 24.

Nayeon is the first member from TWICE to make her solo debut. She became a member of the South Korean group after taking part in "Sixteen", a reality survival television show that was aired in 2015. She officially debuted as a TWICE member with the group's first extended play "The Story Begins", released in the same year in 2015.

In an annual poll by Gallup Korea in 2017, Nayeon was voted the South Korea's sixth most popular idol, featuring ahead of all her TWICE bandmates.

The popular singer has also appeared as a promotional model for magazines such as Elle Korea, W Korea, Cosmopolitan Korea, and Nylon Korea promoting luxurious fashion giants such as Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Jill Stuart, and Ralph Lauren.

In April 2022, Nayeon appeared in the April Issue of Harper's Bazaar Korea for Chaumet's Josephine collection. In the same month, she was officially announced by the brand as the "Friend of the Maison".

Meanwhile, all the nine members of the group, comprising Tzuyu, Chaeyoung, Dahyun, Mina, Sana, Momo, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Nayeon, launched their individual Instagram accounts on May 17 and shared their first posts. Previously, all the members had a shared account, where personal photos were also posted.

The launch of TWICE's personal Instagram handles comes soon after the band's two encore shows in Los Angeles's Banc of California Stadium that wrapped up the North American leg of the "III" world tour on May 14-15.

Last year, the K-pop group released "Formula Of Love: T+O=<3", along with the music video for "Scientist", the lead single. The record also included "The Feels", the band's first-ever official English-language single that went on to become the first-ever song to debut on the Billboard Hot 100, and charted at Number 83 for the October 16 week.
