South Korean singer-actor King Jong Kook joins Lee Hyori as the only personalities to have won a Daesang (grand prize) in both music and entertainment.

According to Allkpop, the 44-year-old singer-actor Kim Jong Kook joins songstress Lee Hyori as the only Korean personalities to covet a grand prize in both the music and entertainment industry.

To dissect, Kim Hong Jook won a Daesan (grand prize) at the recently concluded 2020 SBS Entertainment Awards on December 19. His impressive milestone at the awards show is another reason for the actor to celebrate the holidays merrier.

Kim Jong Kook has graced in numerous SBS weekend entertainment shows like Running Man, X-man, and My Little Old Boy for the 17 years he has been in the industry. That said, the fans and ever-supportive supporters of Kim Jong Kook rejoice in his delight for winning the grandiose trophy in awards shows.

Kim Jong Kook already possesses Daesangs in previous music awards ceremonies at SBS, KBS, and MBC in 2005 for his singles Loveable and Standstill for his album entitled This Is Me.

Lee Hyori's remarkable Daesang collections

As mentioned above, Kim Jong Kook joins Lee Hyori as the only two individuals who own a grand prize for both the music and entertainment industry. That said, the 41-year-old songstress is the first on the list, winning her Daesang at the SBS and KBS music awards in 2003 for her debut song as a solo artist titled 10 Minutes.

After six years, Lee Hyori won her entertainment Daesang at the SBS Entertainment Awards in 2009 for her appearance in Family Outing, per Wikitree.
