Lee Tae Ri revealed his thoughts playing a villain role for the first time on the recently concluded hit tvN drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed starring Lee Dong Wook as the male gumiho Lee Yeon, Jo Bo Ah as producer Nam Ji Ah, and Kim Bum as Lee Yeon's brother Lee Rang.

In the drama, Lee Tae Ri took the role of a serpent beast in human form Imoogi, Lee Yeon's enemy.

Lee Tae Ri's Thoughts Playing A Villain Role

Previously, Lee Tae Ri has performed a wide range of characters in dramas. He has starred in dramas such as Beauty Inside and Extraordinary You. In the interview, the actor was asked if he'd felt any pressure taking on a villain's role.

The actor then divulged that he always want to try different characters as an actor. Also, he wants to show unexpected versions of himself to viewers through my transformations.

 He was attracted to playing a villain role with his desire to show a different side, which he hadn't done before.

Furthermore, Lee Tae Ri went on to say that Imoogi for him was like a new challenge and assignment for me. He revealed that although he always enjoyed taking on challenges and showing new versions of himself, there was much more pressure and tension. But the actor was thankful that he could pull off his new image transformation in the drama.

Tale Of The Nine-Tailed: A Gift

Moreover, Lee Tae Ri shared that the drama 'Tale of the Nine-Tailed' is a gift to him. "It was a fascinating and special drama that I was looking forward to. I think that may be why I still haven't let go of the character Imoogi," he said.

The actor even expressed that he had so much fun filming. The drama was a new and difficult challenge for him as an actor, but he wants to keep it in his heart for a long time. "Thanks to the love that many people have given it," he exclaimed.

When asked about who he wants to work in the future, Lee Tae Ri named Song Kang Ho, Ha Jung Woo, and Lee Byung Hun, sharing how much he admires them as an actor.
