NCSOFT Opens New K-Pop Multi-Platform 'UNIVERSE' With IZ*ONE And MONSTA X
The Kim Taek-Jin-founded international video game developer, NCSOFT, is preparing to launch a brand-new global platform named UNIVERSE.
A mobile playground that connects global K-pop fans
UNIVERSE is a mobile playground that will create an opportunity for K-pop fans in all aspects of the world to come together and uniquely connect with their beloved idols. It features various offline and online fandom interactions and activities by using their respective mobile phone devices.
Moreover, UNIVERSE is the largest global fandom platform, as per Hellokpop, combining the most modern and innovative technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), to produce the best entertainment content for its users. It comes in three distinct languages that are made available in 134 countries.
Through UNIVERSE, NCSOFT will establish original content in partnership with KLAP, which was stamped in the industry in July. Undoubtedly, UNIVERSE will become the home of K-pop fans as they come together to support and interact with their favorites.
K-pop artists set to grace UNIVERSE on its initial days
In a report by Korea Herald, K-pop groups IZ*ONE and MONSTA X are in the works to join hands with NCSOFT for UNIVERSE. The developer announced the matter on November 13 (Friday), making the fans of the two well-known acts to go nutty as a fruitcake!
IZ*ONE was the first artist to be announced, followed by MONSTA X, per Soompi.
Furthermore, UNIVERSE is set to unveil Collection; a feature that allows fans to purchase an album, stream live and recorded broadcasts, participate in fan meetings, and experience concerts.
Launching and further details
UNIVERSE will be facilitating reservations that kicked off on November 12, and since then, more artists will be unveiled. Additionally, credible sources say that more artists are in line to join the team in the days to come.
