School 2020 or School 2021?

KBS2 stated that they initially planned the drama to air by the second half of this year, but they were forced to move the launch date due to urgent matters. The urgent matters specified by KBS2 did not disclose whether it is because of the COVID-19 global pandemic or anything that requires further acknowledgment.

According to Allkpop, the drama was halted because of a casting controversy. However, on November 10, the fans of WEi were stunned when the band's home management and recording label, Wi Entertainment, announced that Kim Yo Han is starring in the drama's relaunch series, which is School 2021.

School 2021's story

The drama series' story plot will revolve around students who attend an outstanding high school to pursue their sole dreams rather than going to college. The story will go on with the students learning about love, friendship, and how things in the world affect people's daily lives.

The female lead star and the supporting actors and actresses are yet to be unveiled by the production team. But one thing is for sure; School 2021 will be airing by August of next year.

"Thank you to everyone who waited a long time for Kim Yo Han and 'School 2021.' We will do our best to show everyone a good drama," the production team blurted out.
